What happens to my account if a payment fails?

If an LTX Studio payment fails, we'll try it again. If it still doesn't go through, your plan drops to the free tier at the end of your billing cycle — but your projects and content stay safe, and you can restart anytime.

What happens when a payment fails

A failed payment usually comes down to one of a few reasons, like insufficient funds or your bank flagging the charge for security. For why a payment didn't go through and how to fix it, see the troubleshooting tips. Here's what happens next:

  • We may try the payment again.
  • If it still fails, your plan drops to the free tier at the end of your billing cycle.
  • Your projects and content stay put. Only paid features and credits pause.

Can I get my account back?

Yes — nothing is lost. Your projects and content are all still there, but paid features stay paused until you restart an equivalent or higher plan.

If you'd rather stay on the free tier, or a lower plan than before, your projects remain either way. You'll just work on them with the features that plan includes.

How to reinstate your plan

A downgraded subscription can't restart on its own, so you'll need to resubscribe:

  1. Go to your account settings in the LTX Studio app.
  2. Click Upgrade plan and choose your plan.
  3. Pay with a working method — a different card, or your original one once your bank clears it or funds load.
