Sharing your project

To share an LTX Studio project, open it and click Share in the top-right corner to access the sharing panel. From here, send an invite by email, assign Viewer, Editor or Owner roles, copy a project link, or edit link access settings. All invitees, even viewers, need an LTX Studio account to access shared projects.

How to share an LTX Studio project

Assigning a role

  1. Open the project you want to share.
  2. Click Share in the top-right corner.
  3. Enter the person's email address and assign them a role (Viewer, Editor, or Owner).
  4. Click Invite. They'll get automatic access, and receive an invite notification by email.

Adding collaborators requires a Pro or Enterprise team plan

You can only add a collaborator if you're on a Pro or Enterprise plan. Collaborators include Editor and Owner roles.

Sharing a project link

Every project has a copyable link in the Share menu. If you're a project Owner on a Pro or Enterprise team plan, you can control access via the dropdown.

  1. Open the project you want to share.
  2. Click Share in the top-right corner.
  3. Select one from the dropdown.
    • Only people with access: Only explicitly assigned Viewers, Editors, or Owners can open the link.
    • Anyone with the link can view: Anyone with an LTX Studio login can view. Only assigned collaborators can edit.
    • Anyone with the link can edit: Anyone with the link can edit your project, no invite needed. Note that your project will be publicly editable by anyone who has it. This includes the ability to generate or delete assets.
  4. Copy the project link and send externally.

Note

Everyone who accesses your project, even as a viewer, must be logged into an LTX Studio account.

Project roles explained

Editors

  • Can generate and delete assets within the project.
  • Can't delete the entire project or change project access settings.
  • To remove their own access, Editors can delete the project from their Projects folder (this only removes it from their account and won't affect the project or anyone else's access).

Owners

  • Can do everything an editor can, plus:
    • Manage project access (add/remove people) and delete the project for everyone.
    • Transfer project ownership by making someone else an owner. Once transferred, that person can remove your access.
    • Remove access or resend invitations at any time from the Share panel.

Viewers

  • Can see all assets across every project tab.
  • Can download assets.
  • Can't generate, edit, or delete anything.
  • Must still have their own LTX Studio login.
